I am back in a relationship, which is really not much different from what I was in before. Brian and I have been together for over a year now (1 year and 2 months to be exact). After about a year I got scared and ended things with him because relationships in college are way more serious then those in high school. Why have a relationship in college if you can’t see yourself with that person forever, ya know? Thats why I ended things. I didnt end things because I couldnt see myself with him forever but mainly because I got scared and took the easy way out. I love this kid more than anything and would do anything for him. We are now “facebook official” again (eww…yukk, i absolutely hate that termonlology). Anyways… My good friend
Bri’s 21st birthday was today. I am still 20 so I was able to sit back and be sober while watching her have the time of her life. We started off at Carsons for some dinner. I literally ate my entire buffalo chicken rap PLUS cheese balls. Wow i am a fatty. I ate the ENTIRE thing. Oh well. After eating dinner we all went back to Bri’s to hang out. She then decided she wanted to go to Molly’s (AKA the “dark and dirty”) Soo thats when I decidced to come home.
Tomorrow night (Friday) is initiation for the new girls in my sorority. Afterwards I will either go to a movie with my best friend Val OR if she is still sick I may go see one with Brian or I might decide to go out. Who Knows. But..saturday me and a bunch of girls will be going to Iowa for Bris birthday. We are going to go bowling, have supper, and most likely hit a few bars in the Iowa area that Bri is from. I can’t wait. We are getting a “party bus” so it will be lots of fun. :) :)4 years ago • Notes
Well, I started this blog as an assignment for Fishers class and I’m beginning to think it’s going to be my new addiction.
So, here we go…
I woke up at 5:00 this morning to my puppy (Chloe) crying. She wouldn’t stop and ended up making me cuddle with her until it was time for me to get up and get ready for work. My mom said its because my roommates (Val especially) keeps feeding her people food. I keep telling Val not to do that but she wants to be Chloe’s favorite so she keeps doing it. Haha.
Val is my best friend and I honestly have no idea what I would do without her. We have gone to school together since we first started going to school as toddlers. We have been roommates since our freshman year of college and most are surprised we haven’t ripped each other hair out yet. She is more of a sister to me. We know when to give each other space and we never fight because of that. She will definitely be in my wedding. Wait…what wedding? I don’t even have a boyfriend! LoL
I have forgotten how much I love to exercise. I bought a membership to the gym last week and it has brought my energy level up so much. My roommate Katie’s parents brought up their elliptical from their house to ours a couple nights ago. Now I can run at home and watch a full episode of Full House while doing it. ;)
Life is great and I am more than ready for the weekend to be here already!4 years ago • 0 notes
When was the last time you came across an infomercial and sat throught the entire thing and about picked up your cell phone to call and order it? Every single time the infomercial comes on for the Magic Bullet I always tune in. I am a huge fan of cooking. If I had not decided to come to college here at Northwest, my second choice I’m sure would have been cullinary arts school.
The Magic Bullet is soo cool. It can mince garlic, chop onions or grate cheese in only 3 seconds.Make salsa, guacamole or chicken salad in only 5 seconds.
Whip up milk shakes and smoothies in only 7 seconds. Mix sauces, soups and omelettes in only 10 seconds! This thing is freaking awesome. If it werent $59.95 then I would deffenitly have ordered it a long time ago. But hey, my 21st birthday is coming up in May so maybe I will ask for the Magic Bullet :)
I have attached the video about the Magic Bullet below so be sure and watch it!4 years ago • 0 notes
I have always known there was a “Childrens Miracle Network” but I never really knew what it was until my freshman year of college when I joined Phi Mu. The video I posted below was the video that played during recruitment at one of Phi Mu’s recruitment parties. After watching that video I immediatly became interested and that was one of the reasons I decided to join Phi Mu.
Phi Mu does so much to support Childrens Miracle Network. We have three-on-three basketball tournaments, dodgeball tournaments and so many more activities that we put on throughout the years to help raise money for this cause. Childrensmiracle.org explains that “Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children¹s hospitals across North America. Each year the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals provide the finest medical care, life-saving research and preventative education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind.”
Since 1986, Phi Mu’s creed to lend a hand to those less fortunate has driven their commitment to making a difference in the lives of hospitalized kids4 years ago • 0 notes
I am a junior this year and already my experience here at Northwest has been the
best experience of my life. Joining my sorority my freshman year was just the beginning of my involvement and getting to know all kinds of people. Within Phi Mu I have held a position on the exec board as the scholarship chairmen and on the Public Relations committee. Each year Phi Mu is involved in all kinds of fun activities such as building a float for homecoming and doing various hours of community service. I am also a member of Cardinal Key which is a national honor society at Northwest.
My freshman year I lived in the dorms…I will have to say I am extremly glad to be out of there. My sohomore year I lived in Roberta with other soroity women. I now live with 6 other girls at a house close to campus. The girls I live with are my best friends and I can count on them for
everything. I can honestly say there is not one single thing I regret during my college years. I feel that I have lived my years at Northwest to the fullest and am so excited to see what is in store for my last year at Northwest. :)
